What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, your organisation if you give one, how you would like us to reply and your email or mobile number, the service you are interested in, your timeframe and your message.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website, and we do not track you across other websites.
We count visits to this website so we know which pages are useful. Each time a page opens, we add one to a count for that day and page, together with the website or campaign link you came from and a rough location (town or state in Australia, or country elsewhere) worked out from your internet address. Your internet address is used only for that and is not kept. No cookie is set, and the counts cannot be used to identify you.
Why we collect it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and deliver the work you ask for. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing lists.
Where it goes
Your enquiry is saved in a secure database hosted in Sydney, then sent to our team’s inbox by an email delivery service. That service may process the email outside Australia.
To stop automated spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical information from your browser (such as your IP address) to confirm you are a person. Videos on this website are hosted by Vimeo, which may set cookies when you play a video.
Rough locations come from GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com (CC BY-SA 4.0), and the Australian Bureau of Statistics remoteness areas (CC BY 4.0).
Our client portal, where you can order transcripts and manage projects, has its own terms, shown when you sign in. When you are signed in to the portal, we record what you do there against your account (pages opened, prices you look at and requests you send) so we can see which services are useful and improve our pricing. We do not use this for advertising and we do not share it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond, to do the work and to meet our business record keeping obligations. After that we delete them.
Seeing or correcting your details
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email our privacy contact at [email protected]. You can write to us in English, or ask for a video call in Auslan.
Complaints
If you are worried about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
